HAND SPINNING
Take our Hand Spinning class to find a sense of connection with history and discover an ancient form of textile art (practiced for over 7,000 years), that was equal parts a necessity and a skilled craft. Hand spinning involves using your hands and, in our workshop, a drop spindle to transform plant, animal, or synthetic fibers into yarn. In this workshop, participants will learn how to spin and ply wool to produce their own unique yarns – suitable for knitting, weaving, and other craft activities.
